Prepare the facts before the files.
Write down your travel dates, purpose, occupation, who is funding the visit and any Canadian host details. Then gather documents that explain those facts.

Scans, filenames and translations
Use complete, readable scans rather than cropped screenshots. Check every page before combining a file. Give each file a descriptive name and follow the portal’s current size and format limits. Follow IRCC’s translation requirements for documents that are not in English or French.
There is no universal bank-balance guarantee
Funding should be considered alongside your trip’s duration, costs and any genuine host support. A particular balance does not guarantee approval. Do not borrow money merely to create a misleading financial picture.
Additional requirements
