The invitation supports the visit; it does not replace the applicant’s own case.
Host documents may help explain why the applicant is travelling, but the application still needs to make sense from the traveller’s side. We review relationship evidence, planned duration, funding, occupation or retirement and accommodation information together.
Documents we may review
Passport and identity documents
Invitation and host information where relevant
Relationship evidence appropriate to the visit
Applicant financial evidence
Employment, business, study or retirement documents
Proposed travel dates and accommodation plan
If the applicant is an eligible parent or grandparent planning a longer stay, the Super Visa may be the more relevant route. We keep the two categories distinct.
